Moving scanner

Some pictures I make leave me cold. They may be “beautiful”, “funny” or making the fantasy gallop, but it does not help. They stay dead. The pictures shown here belong to the dead category.

I made these pictures exploring the possibilities of my scanner by moving things and paintings on the glass board while scanning. Sure, it was fun looking for suitable objects: string, strips of fabric and plastic, the bottom of a papier mâché-object (an ongoing project) and small paintings. But the limitations are manifest as the light glide along it's stipulated course at it's stipulated speed.

That the pictures are dead for me means that I can not do anything more with them. They are dead ends. But even dead ends must be explored.
